Epoxy coal tar asphalt anti-corrosion coating is composed of two main components: epoxy and coal tar asphalt. It is a two-component coating of type A (epoxy) and type B (curing agent), featuring excellent adhesion, toughness, moisture resistance, water resistance, and chemical resistance. It can prevent various ions from passing through the paint film and has the characteristic of expanding and contracting simultaneously with the coated object. The paint film never peels off or cracks. The thickness is 0.5 to 1.0mm. Epoxy coal tar asphalt is a cost-effective form of anti-corrosion. Engineering measurements show that epoxy coal tar asphalt is used in combination with cathodic protection. The oil and gas pipelines have been in use for twenty years and have basically not experienced any corrosion.
Scope of application
It is mainly used for the anti-corrosion of the outer walls of buried or underwater steel oil, gas, water and heating pipelines. It is also applicable to the anti-corrosion of various steel structures, docks, ships, water gates, gas storage tanks, equipment in oil refining and chemical plants, as well as waterproofing and anti-seepage of concrete structures such as concrete pipes, sewage ponds, roof waterproof layers, bathrooms and basements.
Product Features
This product is a high-performance anti-corrosion coating. The coating is smooth, dense, hard, with strong adhesion. It has excellent resistance to salt and alkali, seawater, soil microbial corrosion, and plant root penetration. The combined use of coatings and glass fiber cloth can enhance the mechanical properties of the anti-corrosion coating.
2. It can be applied at room temperature, cures naturally, and is easy to apply. It can be done by hand or mechanically and is particularly suitable for on-site use.
